Hi all, I have been reading the forums for the past month and this is my first time looking into to leasing as opposed to purchasing. So I’d love to get some feedback on the what the dealer shared with me yesterday. I don’t think this is a bad deal but something seems off. This is with VPP…
2017 QX60 w/Theater, Premium, Premium Plus in Ohio
Your discount is meager ~13%. Search the site for other QX60 threads. Some recent non-VPP ones for 17% off and ones with VPP for 19+% off MSRP. That extra 6% is ~$80/month.
This is not a good discount at all. On the loaded cars like this one it’s pretty easy to get 10k off before using the VPP.
When you call dealer don’t disclose you have VPP and ask for more than 10k off on MSRP and when all is agreed bring up that you have VPP and get that deducted as well.
Look at infiniti of south Atlanta for some good discounts on list price. That gives you an idea what can be possible and remember that is their 1st offer and there is still more room to bring it down.
Thanks for the feedback, the dealer asked where I worked a week ago and when I randomly dropped by to test drive he had already noted that my company was VPP eligible.
Look at the difference between MSRP and Selling price. It doesn’t matter FWD or AWD. Cars will have different packages and that will change the Price but the difference between MSRP and selling price will remain roughly same. You can add your VPP discount on top of it and ask for at least 1k more discount from your dealer to arrive at cap cost.
I didn’t qualify for loyalty or VPP discounts, so if you’re qualified for them, it could be better. I’m not sure though if all the dealer cash offers still available in December.
