2017 NX200T F sport vs QX50 in Chicago

I am looking at the NX200T F sport and the QX50 2017 models. The QX50 is being redesigned for 2018 and is not best on fuel economy but has a powerful engine. The NX200T is not that powerful, the interior has leatherette but seems to be to a smooth ride.

The Chicago dealers do not budge on price easily. It seems that the east and west coast have aggressive discounts. Let me know your inputs.

NX200 T F sport ( has AWD, Nav, Premium included) :

MSRP $ 46262 -
$ 499/month + 1st month payment + doc and plate fees

QX50 (Premium Plus) :

MSRP $ 41,345 -
$ 410/month + 1st month payment + doc and plate fees

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can do better with both deals. Any other cars you are interested in?

I had a deal on the Lexus NXT200 Sport in August:

$46122
$0 out of pocket (all fees rolled in), doc/plate = $378
$439 taxes in
Used 7 MSD’s ($3150) to get there
W/0 - probably closer to $474-$479

Are you sure the seats aren’t leather with leatherette sides?

Got turned off by the Turbo/Premium gas aspect. Was a little small coming from my other SUV. Went with the RX 350. This deal was in Cleveland, Ohio.

Any car/crossover that you could suggest? I just gt off the phone with another Lexus dealer in Chicago

MSRP : $46107
Sale Price: $ 39186
Chicago Taxes(19%)
$512 per month and $ 1200 down

@Benz55 It seems MSD is the way to go, I have a Q50 now ( I was taken to the cleaners on it as well!! ).

Is it Chicago the reason for these rates, I wonder?

My selling price was $39589, but I didn’t try to go lower which I am sure that I could have. This included $1500/$2000 lease cash. This offer seems to high? I do know that the MF went up in September. The residual drops quarterly, so it probably did also, not sure? MSD’s are definitely the way to go if you have the extra cash. You can save between $40-$60 per month depending upon the number and amount of the MSD’s you put down. Multiply by 36 months and you get quite the savings. $3000/$4500 in the bank at less than 1% interest earns you peanuts.

Chicago is about 375 miles from Cleveland or a 5.5 hour drive. Setting up a transport would most likely cost $450-$500. You could try and work transporting the car into the deal with the dealer if the price differential is great enough. I have transported a couple vehicles, one an Infiniti, from N Jersey in the past to garner significant savings.
I wanted to take a look at the 2018 QX50, but couldn’t wait until March. My wife leases Infiniti sedans (Q50) and loves them. A 2017 QX50 Infiniti should lease out at a fantastic rate with the newer model/style coming out next year.

Yes, I could probably look around in Ohio and Indiana. It seems QX50 could be a better deal at this point in time- the NX rides smooth though and the QX50 handles very well. Thanks much.

Get an address and change your residency outside of Chicago city limits and pref out of Cook County.:sunglasses:

@Rizza36 If only that could be the solution…

what about the MF that I should be looking at for NX200 F sport or the QX50?
