2017 Mercedez C300 loaner

This is a 2017 c300 RWD, loaded with P2 & some AMG package.
It was a retired loaner with ~3k miles on it.
Here is what I negotiated from the dealer.

MSRP: $49,030
Price: $37,105
lease: 36mo/10k
RV: $29,418
MF: 0.00121
Acq. Fee: $1,095
State: CA

I am ok with the price, but trying to lower the acq. fee to $795, sounds like they are not willing to. I am thinking of stopping by some day this week to close it if they can drop the acq. fee.

I have not told them I am going to put max MSD and Autopay(discontinued?) to bring MF down to 0.00041.
btw, i have PenFed membership for over a month only, will I get the fleet discount? ~$500 off I guess this month.

This is my first time leasing a car, any suggestions I can make it better deal, hackrs?
Thanks in advance.

Great discount. I wouldn’t fret over $300 with that discount. I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t let them know about applying max MSDs now. I’d rather have all the numbers lined up exactly and confirmed by the salesperson before ever stepping foot at the dealership.

Thanks, it is advertised $795 on their web of lease deals, then they told me $795 is for NJ, CA should be $1095, it sounds a bs to me. I spend some time to bring MF to buy rate, down from a ridiculous rate 0.00221, not sure how can they quote such a high MF (above sell rate?).

I would better to work with them all the numbers including all MSD/Autopay and fleet discount in the next rounds, before I stop by. Thanks,

What’s the payment? [20 chars]

Its definitely $795 here in CA. Now, I’ve almost always been quoted 1095 on loaners though. I think they just wanna make 300 bucks and dont wanna add it to the sale price so the discount looks as attractive as possible.

$795 = paying up front

$1095 = if you roll it into the lease.

That’s how it works.

they are willing to drop by another $300 to eat the difference in acq. fee, it sounds like there is no way for them to reduce the acq. fee directly.

but they said fleet discount does not apply to this vehicle bcs it is not “new” … weird. I think if the vehicle can be leased, which means it is not registered and fleet discount should apply.

usually i only care about the selling price, MSRP, and MF/fees.

it does not sound like this way. even paying up front, it is $1095.

Thats bullshit. Sounds like they’re trying to set it up to pocket the extra $500 from the fleet discount vs just the 2000 lease cash.

MB does not lease non ‘New’ cars. The demo/loaner is a ‘New’ car. Give them exactly what terms you will need in order to sign. If they dont meet it then go to the next dealer. Its simple and they know that.
