$715/month for a $45k CX9 is a great deal. Better jump on that today.

Thats a joke by the way.

@NY13, you are referring to the first post correct?

Yours. Hope he better evaluates the deal by reading about leasing.

I think both posts are jokes.

Are you going to help or not? I’m here for advice/suggestions.

What’s the MSRP? It looks like you might be getting zero discount and a $750 rebate.

$45,555 is the MSRP for the car.

Ya, they are giving you no discount at all. That’s the first red flag. The second is that, according to edmunds forums, the money factor should be .00095 so they are marking that up on you as well.

Thank you. So I can tell them they need to offer more of a discount off MSRP and the MF is marked up? If you were me what would you tell the dealer at if you got this?

I’d ask for quotes from a couple of other dealerships before you get back to them. For reference, the Mazda national offer on a $32,000 base CX-9 36/12k is $399/month with $1999 down so $454/month. That should help you with your calculations.

Truecar is showing $3,000 discount on a $45,000 CX-9 and, while that’s not always 100% accurate, it’s a good start to get at least that number.

Got it. Thank you. I appreciate it.

You are welcome. Keep us posted on the offers you get.

There are other threads on the CX-9. Take a look to better understand reasonable pricing for that model. Payment really should be in the mid 400s.

You’re better off just buying the CX9 - it leases awfully.

Seems that way. At this price point I would be better of leasing a luxury brand.

Just buy it if you want it. You probably get a zero percent interest rate. That lease is so expensive.

In general very few mid size SUVs lease well. The exceptions are the MDX, QX60, and Acadia. I really liked the CX-9 but the Acadia Denali lease we got crapped all over the Cx-9, and everything else for that matter.

Good call on Acadia Denali - 65% Residual

Do you mind sharing your lease deal on it?
