2017 Mazda 3i Touring auto sedan lease

3k down and $215pm is this a good deal for 3i touring sedan?
12k/36 with MF 0.00006 and RV 55%

There’s a $3000 down payment… Do you even need to ask if it is a bad deal?

they are ready to bring down the down payment by 1k for every $30 I add to the monthly payment

Total out of pocket is 215*35 + 3000 = 10525. Does it matter if the down payment is more to bring down my monthly payment?

If u are a regular on these forums u will know to never ever do down payment

I am not. so should I just increase my monthly payment? They can do this with 0 down but higher monthly

If your car is ever totaled or stolen, you can always walk away from a lease without penalty (thanks to GAP insurance). However, you won’t always get your down payment back—so don’t pay one to begin with.

A down payment obscures the cost of the lease and makes it more difficult to compare deals. Any car can be leased for $199 per month if there’s a sufficient down payment.

This is from the front page make sure you read up on everything

I agree on the hypothetical situation if a car is totaled. My monthly payments with 0 down come to $295

$295 for a Mazda 3? That’s a joke. People have gotten Infiniti Q50s for about that much. It doesn’t lease well at all, so if your heart is set you’re going to pay through the roof. Otherwise look at other cars

In general, Mazdas do not lease very well. The residual is too low, and the lease cash isn’t high enough to make a good deal.
