I wonder if in the next couple months Nissan will start fire-saling the LEAFs because the new model is coming out, similar to what BMW did with the i3 in Aug-Sep 2016 right before the new 2017 i3 with 50% more range came out.
The sweet spot on Leaf’s used to be 36 months, but I’ve seen two posts lately with 24 month terms. Is Nissan offering special promotions now at 2 years? Did they quote 36 months as well? And what state are you in?
You can probably haggle something better, but less than $5k all-in to drive a new Leaf for two years isn’t terrible. You might also want to see what an SV would run. The connectivity options with the SV and up infotainment are nice for features like remote heating and cooling.
The regional deal is 229/ mo + 2k down for 36 mo (effectively 284/mo).
This is an individual dealer’s improvement on those terms, I got the impression that this was either to drive foot-traffic or to clear inventory, as there are only a couple of units available.
the SV and SL don’t get the improved terms.
SV --> 230 mo + 1550 down = 294 /mo effectively
SL --> 308 mo + 1635 down = 376 / mo effectively
could you link me to one? I see several for '16s (with the smaller battery) but nothing with regard to the '17
edit: i see one quote in another thread that is better. However, he’s trading in his old vehicle and is eligible for VPP, neither of which apply for me. Without those benefits, is anybody doing better than 0 down 200/mo?
True. its a lease. still wouldn’t be caught dead in one. I would rather have a minivan! I would rather have a Mazda5!!! I would rather have a JUKE!!!
I would take a leaf over a bicycle tho;)
