Personally, I wouldn’t pay over $800 for a used Discovery, but if you must.

not enough discount and high payment, i would pass on that deal.

Bail out. Looks like Ranger Rover offers are comparable.

I do not think it’s an awful deal, it’s absolutely zero drive off on a 72K Discovery HSE. Maybe could do a bit better or would be nice to see similar numbers on a new one, but LR does not usually discount.

Ad posted above includes a 2K cap reduction, plus FP + taxes + Acq on a 42 Month lease, if you put same terms on Ops car it would fall to around 600 (before taxes) on a 36 Month.
so 150 more for a HSE with a 16K more in options and 6 month shorter lease. Would be a great deal if car was new but not a bad one given that it has <5K miles,

There is no Range Rover that would lease at those numbers. Maybe a Range Rover Velar with a < 65K Msrp? But is a Velar really a Range Rover?

Either way I would try and get Prepaid Maint Plan thrown in, would make the deal a bit more attractive

Range Rover at $100,500 for $1099/mo at 4% off MSRP.

With haggle, I could see getting one for under $1k per month. That’s close enough to be worth it to an $800 per month Disco

Is the Range Rover with absolute zero drive off, tax, first payment and all fees for 1099? Because based on OPs calc he’s not even putting first payment up.

Why even show that? It’s a model $12k cheaper, with a term 12 months longer and a $2k CCR plus drive offs and tax.

Comes out to 570 p/m under the same terms and its new

@BcuzYoudBeInJail, We’d love to get a Range Rover instead but… 5 seats vs 7 seats. We need the 7-seater.

My wife wants this car for some reason. I don’t like the rear “styling” at all. I would actually prefer a MBZ E400 wagon.

@nyclife, $570 per month (excluding tax) for a stripped down 5-seater? That won’t work.

@Siejammy $14,760 cheaper, but who’s counting? :grimacing:

I will try to get the prepaid maintenance plan thrown in. Thanks for the idea

Wow, i didn’t even know the RR did not have 3-row.

Pretty stupid, right? They would sell a bunch more if they did have a third row. Other 3-row SUVs can’t compete with the 22/28 mpg of the diesel Range Rover.

That’s for a standard gasser with a 56k MSRP…

Yeah but the payment to msrp ratio is better, and its new not used.

Apples vs oranges. 7 seats vs 5 seats. Diesel vs gas. Options vs none. It’s not the same car. Thanks for the info though, @nyclife. It’s nice to know what the most stripped down version is going for.

I see the subtle sarcasm.

Just looking at discount amount, the new is similar to the used, which it shouldn’t be.

You asked for people’s thoughts and I gave mine, if you wanted praise for the deal you should’ve posted it elsewhere or not posted it at all LOL. 800p/m for a 70k car that isn’t selling isn’t very good, and isn’t a ‘deal’

Here is another one, selling price is 54,997 advertised, 4k less miles than yours and has a similar percent discount.

No sarcasm was intended. I’m not looking for any validation from anyone. Simply posting info. I know it’s not the best deal, but it’s the best I can come up with here & now. Going to NY to pickup a car, or having it shipped, isn’t an option. Also, the payment is actually $731; tax isn’t kind here.

You seem like a really pleasant person, btw. That WAS sarcasm. Have a nice day (more sarcasm).
