How did we do on this deal? Deal was made Dec 26th 2016

I have a very similar deal on the table… Don’t know if I should try to squeeze for more.

I currently have a 2014 accord sport and Im upside down about 4k from KBB price to Payoff.

Idk if I should go through with it.

Any recommendations?

Isn’t that monthly payment approaching the price of a base TLX?

Yeah, Hondas don’t lease very well so you may be within a couple of bucks. You can definitely get a higher MSRP Acura for just a little bit more monthly. Honda wants you to buy their cars and not lease them.

You may be able to get a better deal since the remodeled Accords are due to come out soon.

What’s the point in discussing a deal signed 4 months ago?

As anyone here will tell you, the time to discuss deals is before they are signed. Not after.

The point in discussing a deal made in the past is to learn from it, compare with others, and others can possibly use it as reference as well [see above post by SBlanco17]

It’s quite interesting all the things involved in making the best possible deal, especially timing. I just recently came across this site and have learned enough to better negotiate my leases in the future. I’ve never knew to ask for RV, discuss MF, MSDs, and other things that this site has shown.

I think what max_g meant is a deal 4 months ago is going to be hard to evaluate since there are so many factors involved. Learn the basics like how to negotiate, calculate lease, where and how look for incentives here from the hackrs. Even dealer a mile apart will have different numbers. It will depend how desperate the dealer will want to move cars or how lucky you are talking to the right salesman.

However, I agree that sharing your lease will provide a point of reference for others.

With the skillset you possessed on Dec 26th 2016 …it is the best deal you could have obtained
