Wow. Residual is only 53%? What’s the term/mileage?
16% discount on a 2017 in Q4 seems light, particularly with 2800 miles, and I would be surprised if there are no incentives, but to be fair I’ve not negotiated a GLE. Maybe check Edmunds for current incentives and any trunk money.
36/10k per yr. deal includes a 1500 discount for being part of ama - no other stackable discount. Any suggestions? They dont seem
To be able
To go lower but immopen to trying something if i can
So where should i go with this. Dealer seems unwilling to go lower. Called two other dealers in nj and ny and they seem to quote higher (one said hed never lease a gle350 lower than 579 a mo). If i got them to include prepaid maintenance would that be worth it?
Edmunds is saying that the RV should be 55%, so not sure why they are quoting you 53%. If it has less than 3K miles, there should be no RV adjustment, certainly not 2%.
So the RV should be 34433. That should get you to $500. I would then ask for maintenance for 3 cycles (10k, 20k, 30k). If they’ll do that, it looks like a decent deal. As far as loaners go, that’s pretty low miles, which means you’re going to get less of a discount. I would have thought it would have been more, but the GLEs are not getting discounted as much as the sedans.
Ok asked everything u suggested and we are at an impasse. Asking other dealers as well. Will keep trying tto get svc i cluded but they cant go
Lower. Also found out mileage was 8 k miles. I saw 2800 on trip odometer. My badd. So thats why rv was adjusted.
I don’t think dealer Month end incentives are as lucrative as quarter end for dealers, so it might not matter much. However I have had some people say that after Nov 1 the holiday event can generate some better discounts, but every month that goes by the loaner inventory goes down. So here’s my thoughts:
I would check states where there may be more inventory. Do a Google search for “Mercedes retired loaner” and look all over the place. If you find one you like, then do all the math yourself and make them a very detailed “I’ll buy right now over the internet” offer. All they can say is no.
If you really like the car, there’s a point where having the car you want is more important than getting the best possible deal. You’re being offered an “OK” deal, so if you really like the car and it has everything you’re looking for, paying an extra 1500 or so over three years may be worth it.
You can also just wait for the next couple of days and see what happens. There is a risk the car will get sold, but that’s the price you pay for being a lease hacker. But you’re really only talking 4 days from now, so if it were me I would roll the dice.
Very very helpful will wait it out and make a few more calls
And if nothing transpires then head w this deal and maybe wait til nov 1. Will update soon
Ok hackrs. They r throwing in two maintenances (20 and 30k) and since car has 8 k miles will do the 10 k svc now
So basically maintenance included w above. Anyone think i can do a lot better?
