Update # 3@ 5:40 PM. The demand and supply dynamics have kicked in, basically leasehackr effect. The dealer won’t give the sales price of 44k any more but will use the fleet and buildout cash to reach there. So the 13k in rebates becomes 11.5k.
Update # 2 @ 1:29 PM on 01/30: I have one of the dealers in CT whom I worked with for my deal get back to me today. He is offering an i3 with $54345 for $48000 plus if you qualify for all rebates of 13K like I do the selling price goes to 35K.
This will work best for anyone in NJ with the tax advantage. Also CT has a 2K rebate from state which is POS rebate so the sales price will go down by further 2K making it comparable to NJ even though you pay the taxes.
There however is a $595 doc fee which they charge but its up to you to negotiate it out. BTW I have never known a dealer who would loose a sale just for the doc fees.
Let me know if you are ready to do this deal over phone and drop a CC deposit to pick this up today or tomorrow as the incentives end on 01/31 unless BMW extends it.
I will not send more than 5 people to him so its 1st come 1st serve as he only has 1 car to sell**
Due to overwhelming response to this thread and at the request of the dealer I will not be sharing the contact details of the dealer anymore. He has 35 odd leads from here and cannot handle them any more. If things change I will update this post

As most of you know that I got an i3 last Saturday and did a one pay on a car with Sticker price of $49,995 and paid $1303 + DMV and fees. I had worked with pretty much every dealer in the area who had stock and one of them had reached out to way too late on Sat as I was already on my way to the dealer where I bought the car from.
He is willing to match what he offered me which is as per above to anyone who works a deal out before 01/31.
Let me know if you are in Tri-state area and need his contact info.
Remember this deal works best in NJ as there is no sales tax on electric cars but no slouch in CT/NY either of them has State specific rebates but you might have to take 36 month lease to get the rebates and that might change some numbers.
HN.
