I tried asking this in a different thread but didn’t really get an answer. Trying again in a new thread here.

I got the following quote from a dealer on a 2016 Volt Premier. However, when I enter this same info into the lease calculator I get a lower monthly payment. Is there something hidden here? I get $234 before taxes and he’s showing $279.

Thanks!

What is the extra $862.04 cap cost reduction?

I get something in the $315 a month before taxes…with $0 down. Something is off for sure…

Take a look at my calculations below,

MSRP $39880

Selling $35880

MF 0.00040

Res 47% (10k/36mo)

Drive-off $2500

Lease Cash (rebate) $7470

Acq Fee $595

Sales tax 9.5%

Monthly Payment $278.31 + tax ($26.44) = $304.75

It looks about right to me (my calculator is little different than the dealers).

I think I know what you missed.

You’ve most likely missed the Drive-off down a the bottom.

If I plug in all the numbers using the LeaskHackr calculator, I get $4174 for Drive-off. Since you have $2500 as down, you can subtract that from $4174 shows above. Which will net you $1674. Now divide that by 36 months and you’ll get $46.50 and you can add that to pre-taxed monthly as shown $234+46.50 = $280.50 which is pretty close to $279.84 that you see from dealer’s calculation.

Thanks Alan! I think that clears it up. I still don’t quite see where that is shown on what the dealer sent me, but at least I understand the overall numbers now.
