2016 E GOLF SE 1 time payment lease --thoughts on numbers?

Hello sirs and madams! My car got rearended and I am looking for a lease. Here’s what I was quoted:

-2016 E GOLF SE (free fast charge upgrade according to them since I am a strong lesee?)
-12k annual allowance
-30 month lease
-Total price in one lump check: 9243 (to change it from 30 to 36 months it’s 10,415, slightly cheaper)
-I am in Southern California and I have read here that the $2,500 rebate is back?

Would love your expertise as I have never leased before. Thank you in advance!

I think you can do better. Just look at Hayward VW website front page, take that around and ask dealers to match.

So cal is huge. Where exactly?

I have basically called them all looking. Hayward is an anomaly and being in NorCal no one will match.

And yes, that is way way too much.

Hey guys status update: I lowered it (and purchased the lease) at 8700 total price for:

SE
Upgraded faster charger
30 months
12k annual allowance

With the 2500 California rebate it comes down to a little under $207/month final. I am in San Gabriel Valley, Socal.

I’m in the market for an SEL. My thinking is that the deals are only going to get better. BEVs with the 80 odd mile range are going to get outdated pretty soon. Personally I found dealers willing to match hayward. Hey worst case just go to hayward and drive down. It’s been done before.
