2016 Audi A3 Sportback e-tron

I have a lease question on an A3 e-tron lease.

  • Location: San Francisco Bay Area
  • Make: Audi
  • Model: A3 sportback e-tron
  • Trim: Premium
  • Term: 36 months, 12k miles

The proposed lease terms from the dealer are:

  • Residual value: 50% (feels low. Is it? Is there a good reference out there?)
  • Rate/Money Factor: 1.6 (<< assuming that’s interest rate, that’s 0.00066666666667 money factor which sounds good?)
  • Rebates: $6500 (tax rebate, incentive, etc.)

Any info on this that will help push me in the right direction on this?

2016 A3 e-tron Premium

36/12K: 50% residual, .00096 MF
$4,502 Lease Cash + $1,000 Bonus Cash

Targeted: $1,000 Audi Loyalty or Conquest Cash (current BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Acura, Infiniti, Honda, Toyota, or Subaru owners)

The residual is a bit low, but the incentives make up for it. I think there’s potential for a good lease here with the A3 e-tron. Unlike BMW’s 330e, the A3 e-tron is eligible for the $1,500 CVRP rebate.

Edit: I plugged the numbers into the lease calculator. Assuming a $38,825 MSRP and $37,500 selling price, that’s $390/month plus tax with roughly $1,500 drive-off for a 36/12K lease.

I have a lease question on an A3 e-tron lease. I don’t have all the details, but this is what they wrote down on a sheet that I was unable to take home, but snapped a quick picture. Is this a good deal? Have not leased before. I’ve asked for more details, but they are currently closed.

Location: Orange County (California)
Make: Audi
Model: A3 sportback e-tron
Trim: Premium
Term: 36 months, 18k miles

The proposed payment terms:
MSRP: $39,325
Selling Price $39,325
Cash Down $2,888

License/Fees/Docs: ???
Residual: ???
MF: ???

$369/mo+tax (18,000 miles)
$339/mo+tax (15,000 miles)

Why are they trying to sell this at msrp? Don’t put any money down. Negotiate with the salesman via text or email. Don’t go back in till you agree on price.

The numbers looks like on the high side.

Using similar car (luxury plug in hybrid) as example, I got the BMW 330e (MSRP $50,000) with $2K down and $450 / month (tax included) for 18,000 miles.

I think you can do much better.

A3 e-tron does qualify for $1500 rebate which 330e does not though.
