Apples to oranges. That deal was in California which offers a $2,500 incentive to those leasing an i3. The real value for that lease (36/10k) is probably around $330/month.

Donāt get me wrong, that is a solid deal as far as 36/10k goes. 
Yes that 231 deal for a brand new 2017 with possibly the new beefier battery is a great deal.
