Hey everyone,

So first lease I’m doing, but have learned a lot here. I have what I think is a decent start to a deal here, but I’m not sure if there is a better discount to be had. The main issue I have is trying to figure out what kind of discount to ask for with a service loaner with 9100 miles. Right now, it looks like I’m getting a xx% discount on MSRP, but I feel like it should be more than that given the miles. I also figure that starting a lease with that many miles will likely mean I’ll have tires to deal with, along with, unless I come in right under the mile allocation, a Service C, which would be pricey.

Thoughts? What is the general guidance for dollars off per mile for a service loaner?

Thanks in advance!

I think that is a great deal. I would take it. So, is it $2k in fees and $3k in MSD? That seems fair. Even rolling fees in, you come in well below $350/mo for a $58k car. That’s awesome. You would likely have to replace tires during the lease anyway, this way, you just get to drive on the replacements for longer, so tires isn’t a big concern. Also, I would ask them to make it $300/mo and throw in tire and wheel. You definitely want it on a MB.

$44k is a good deal on the selling price.

Crazy deal let me know if you dont take it I am interested

Yeah, I really like the sales guy. Been all through email but he’s been pretty no nonsense.

I think the breakdown of fees is a little off in the way he represented it on the sheet, but essentially yes it’s 3K in MSDs and 2K in fees (1st mo, acq, doc, and 200 in CCR). So yeah, not too bad.

I just gotta ensure I budget for an extra service and do my best to stay under 40K and not trigger the Service C!

I may go back and ask for just a little more based on the miles. I have an offer on another car with only 3000 miles, higher sticker, and they are doing 23% off then plus I get the USAA incentive. Payments are higher, and it’s not the color I want, but it’s pretty attractive. I do like the color of this one better (light interior as opposed to black), so if I can get the local guy to match it for me, then I’ll head out in the thunderstorm tonight.

If you don’t take the current one, I’m sure there are plenty of folks here who’d bite. Good find!

Is there a way to search a dealers inventory for the demos? I haven’t seen a demo listed on any MB dealers website.

I have seen it before on BMW…but those deals suck now

any low miles '17 model is essentially a demo/retired loaner

OK, I have an amazing deal for the first person to PM me.

I was unable to complete this lease because the person who was supposed to buy my car backed out. But I cannot believe how these numbers worked out (in fact neither could the sales guy), but as you can see from the threads above, people told me it was a great deal and to take it.

Well, I got an even better deal. However, the dealer has asked me not to publish it online. He did say, however, he would honor the deal with someone I referred.

The qualifications for the numbers to work as clean as they did are that the buyer 1) cannot be in GA or any state that taxes the full purchase price (because of taxes and the requisite implication on MSDs), 2) should qualify for USAA discount or PenFed discount, and 3) they really need to close the deal quickly. I drove the car and inspected it. There are a couple of cosmetic things that need to be done with it being a service loaner, but they are taking care of them.

I hate that I cannot do the deal but honestly it if weren’t for this site I would not have been able to negotiate the deal the way I did. So if you are interested in a 36/10 lease on an E300 for an amazing price, please PM me today, and I’ll privately fill you in on the deal details, and give you the dealer’s name and phone number.

Thanks,

Aaron

Didn’t have to bother editing selling price and payment

you’re probably right. I am just trying to honor this dealer’s request, and maybe I’m being overly cautious.

How did you find the vehicle to begin with? Does the dealer list selling price and mileage of vehicles on their website? This sounds super similar to the deal I got on my demo Genesis - and I’m wondering if your process was similar. I was lucky that the dealer listed their selling price on their website so that gave me a baseline to start from and work against. Would be interested in knowing which dealer this is so I can add them to my list of dealerships to regularly peruse listings for

I’ll post something on the other thread, so others can see. However, I cannot give the dealer’s name as of right now since I don’t have permission.
