I have a New Jersey quote on a Chevy Malibu Premier (highest trim level), valued at $31850 MSRP. It comes with pretty much everything except sunroof or driving assistance package. It’s for 39 mths, 10K miles per year, with $0 down, and fees, etc rolled into monthly. With incentives, the sales price comes at about $24418. So as of now it came out to $329 per month. I would guess it’s average compared to what the Hackrs can do. How did I do?
Lease for $89/Month
$0 Money Down $0 First Month’s Payment $0 Security Deposit
Disclaimer: $0 Money Down + $0 First Month’s Payment + $0 Security Deposit + $595 Bank Fee = $595 due at signing. Tax and Fees extra. Maximize all available rebates to bring it down.
I don’t have exact number but it should definitely be lesser than $300 with only first month due at signing.
Assuming you have $1500 conquest rebate

Thanks for the info, I’ll reach out to the dealership. I took a look at Edmunds and Autobytel…I think I got all of the incentives/rebates tallied up for Premier trim…

2nd Chevy Bonus Cash Program: $1000
Bonus Cash Select Market Incremental CCR
Program - 17-40BC: $750
2nd 17-40BC: $750 (or just lump sum of $1500)
GMF Down Pay Assist: $1000
Conquest Bonus: $1500
Bonus Cash Lease Offer: $1200
Auto Show: Either $1000 or $1500 ($1000 off PLUS $500 CCR Program?)
Bonus Tag: 16% off MSRP (not sure if stackable?)
Edit: Do I need to make substitutions or alteration for above rebates?
Well to update, I reached out to the Princeton dealership. I initially was curious to see what offerings they had for the fully loaded version, and then work down from there.
Arrangement was 36mths, 10K per year, $0 down, no tags taxes etc, and GM acquisition waiver. For a $36,715 MSRP Malibu Premier, I got a quote for $335 per month, with 1st payment due at signing.
They refused to disclose any RV/MF or rebates/discount strategy used (for competition reasons?). All I know is they could only apply Tag Rebate to 1LT trim and below, and that they applied conquest.
Edit: I’m asking for a 1LT quote with as identical of lease arrangement as possible. Will update when I have it
LT package will probably lease better than premier. Look at the dealer website or auto trader to check inventory which trim have the most in the lot. Br creative by doing some research on how long it is sitting on the dealers lot.
Malibu sales is down for three consecutive months according to GM sales figure. In some areas, it is cheaper to lease a malibu than a cruze. And get at least 10% off the selling price before incentives. Compare 24 vs 36 months as well.
Just to sum this thread up, I got the car on 4/15 from a local dealership instead. The other dealership wasn’t returning my call or email. Here’s what I was able to negotiate down to:
'17 Chevy Malibu Premier
MSRP $36310
Sales Price $34399.99
Rebates $4950
36 months / 10,000 miles per yr
RV 59% or 21422.90
MF .00072 aka 1.73%
Sales tax 6.875%
$0 down payment
Applied GM acquisition waiver
Taxes, tags & fees rolled into monthly
Waived disposition fee
Monthly payment $326.38 with 1st month due at signing
I think I got an OK deal…but it’s exactly the car I wanted (and I’m glad the whole thing is over and done with). Thanks to the Hackrs and forum for the help!
