BMW dealers can mark up the acquisition fee a little bit ($50-$75) but most do not since it leads to questions of “BMW dealer X has an acquisition fee of $925, why is your fee $975 if it goes to BMW”. I have worked at dealers that will not take MSDs or waive the acq fee in favor of a rate bump since there are so few people who even ask, it is easier and more efficient to not offer it. Plus less of a likelihood that the FI manager or an office girl messing up the contract.
