Past deals clearly mean nothing. Getting 12% dealer discount is proving impossible for me. The best offer I have received so far is close to 10%. Would like to squeeze out another $1000 but he’s getting impatient. I might just ask for $500 and call it a day?

Stick to your guns and wait. It’s nearly the end of the month and you might get that last minute call. Plus, it’s relatively early in the year so dealers aren’t going to be too aggressive. Once it gets closer to mid-year and MY2019 starts rolling in, the fire underneath the rear is on to get MY2018 out.
