Signed - 2018 Base Honda Clarity in NorCal $330 monthly - $1000 down

Hi, First time leasing here. I’m going into the dealer tomorrow, so really would appreciate any tips and things to look out for on the negotiation and contact.

This deal is in NorCal, so sadly not as good as Socal. I considered driving to LA to get a better deal for a sec since I’m actually there this weekend. Haha.

Does the $320 include your local tax rate ?

My Clarity deal was $279 monthly plus 9.5% tax = $305.

A bit expensive. Try to have the down reduced to first payment and see what they come up with. Sale price can come down a little more too.

$320 including tax, tax rate is about 9%

from edmunds:
36/12
Base
.00021 MF and 41% residual
$7600 incentive

i think there is a bit more meat on the bone; perhaps 500-700

Shopped around most dealers in the bay area. A lot of dealers were not willing to negotiate even a dollar beyond the $7,600 incentive. If anyone is interested in this deal, let me know and I’ll share dealer contact.

Final deal thanks to @4sallypat

Awesome deal from a Norcal dealer!

Was it worth the trips to SoCal and NorCal dealers ??

Great deal with lots of persistence & patience that paid off.

Definite worth the trip to negotiate through out all of CA… hahaha! But glad I didn’t have to drive 6 hours back to the Bay Area.

FYI,… I just got a quote for a base in San Diego for $350 after taxes and no down and drive offs. Standard 12/36 too. If you want touring its $50 bucks more. That does not include state rebate(s). I got my Touring last weekend and already submitted rebate and stickers paperwork. If you include the CVRP $1500 rebate the base comes to $308 a month and take off $43 a month on the touring.
