Received my lease end statement and MBFS is charging Sales Tax on the $595 turn in fee - this is a first. is it some kind of error?

I’ve been charged sales taxes on disposition fee + excess wear & tear charges. It’s def not a first.

Makes sense. Otherwise car makers would increase untaxed fees while decreasing taxed lease payment. Disposition fee is really just an end of lease ballon payment. Revenue for manufacturer.
