Lol! Is that what your driving?..

You asked. People said no. Don’t need to get defensive.

VERY RARE is there a unicorn deal like with the chevys a couple years ago… when those happen there is only a few weeks to capitalize on that deal and then it’s likely gone forever.

@spdracer50. This subforum is better suited for generic questions like this .

I think the problem with your post (if we can call it a problem) is that it is similar to various other posts from people (typically new to the forum) that don’t really get the spirit of the forum, which is to learn how leasing works and then put in the leg work to find the lease you want as opposed to asking to be spoon fed a ridiculously low deal. Yes, deals like these have been possible in the past and may be possible again but in the mean time, do your research, learn the ins-n-outs of leasing and be prepared to pull the trigger if a deal comes around.

DO NOT however, sit there with your hand out and expect to be given the keys to a hacked deal. If it were that easy, this site would not be needed and dealers would be out of business as it goes entirely against their current business model (do the research and you will know what I mean). Also, DO NOT get testy when people call you out on it as topics like these are very common and if you invested even a little bit of time (i.e. WORK of your own) you would have noticed it is frowned upon by the seasoned contributors (who happen to get good leases regularly and are your best resource here).

I think you OP was well intended. You are just looking to find a cheap commuter car. We get it. The answer to your post as many have mentioned is No. Put a nicer way, not at this moment. But learn the ins and outs of leasing and go out there and find a hack to get a as close to your needs as possible (assuming you need a car right away) and return to us with your results. We will even help you evaluate.

If none of the above sunk in, go to this link below as suggested by Mike E

Mike,

Thank you for your response but, I have been all through the forum and I couldn’t find any vehicles around a hundred dollars. I’ve bought about one car per year and several of them around the 100 dolar range using the info on your site. I’m not asking to be spoon fed, I wanted to know if there is something I missed in the last couple months.

There is nothing wrong asking for help after you have done your own research. Unfortunately, those dirt cheap leases are long gone and cost per mile to lease has been increasing for a while. They were combination of aggressive discounts and manufacturer incentives, too optimistic residuals and cheap interest rates and I think none of them are trending in favor of the consumers.

If theres unicorn deal that you are looking for, you are likely going to see it in the front page of leashackr.

This is what I don’t like about some car dealers. You ask them a question and they respond like wise guys, as if you were in their hood and owed them for favor of letting you exist. This is not the way to conduct a good business.

I won’t attack you for asking if lease under $125/mo possible. I will honestly tell you that I don’t know. You would need to find a car with MSRP below $12000, and if it retained at least 50% of it’s value in 3 years, you would still need to get large discount off MSRP plus cash rebates and low MF to be able to drive it off with 1st month’s payment of $125 or less. Chances are, even if such a low priced car existed, most of it’s targeted customers would be less savvy than buyers in higher up segment, and with affordability added to mix it would create high demand for a vehicle thus preventing you from getting a great deal on it.

While $125 appears to be unrealistic, you may shoot for $165 - $170 and find a few cars out there, including VW Jetta, which can be leased with $0.00 DAS terms if you walk into the right dealership at the right time.

Good luck.

None of the people that have responded are car dealers, so there’s that.

If you believe that we’re all car salesman here instead of an average Joe trying to find deals, I have a bridge to sell you.

Today is all that is relevant. Anything that happened last month, let alone last year is a moot point. If it happened last month, you missed it, period.

with GM supplier pricing and Costco likely to come back, you might have a chance on lower $100s car like the Buick Encore. That should happen by November based on past experience and will require you to have a Costco membership. No guarantee but that’s likely going to be the case if you can wait.

And where did I say that people who responded above are car dealers?

This sure alludes to the fact that you referred to everyone that posted as a car salesman. If you’re not referring to them, why would you even mention them? They are irrelevant in this thread since no car salesman replied.

I think the bigger question is what would happen if a dealer offered you a loaner at $125/mo? Would that be acceptable?

Like @305Hackr said you might have a shot at something in the 100s with Buick, maybe a Chevy Cruz but as others mentioned, $0 down and >$125 is going to take the stars aligning on incentives, a willing dealer and being at the right place at the right time.

C’mon dude…you’ve been around long enough to know loaners are useless junk that 45,000 people farted in going 3,700 miles doing neutral drops, constant 0-100 wide open throttle at every stop light + curb jumps at every chance they get. :joy:
