While you are waiting for the answer … I am pretty sure it means the car was sold registered and prepped, but the deal went bad or the buyer backed out prior to actually taking delivery. Someone will correct this if I am wrong.

I think it’s when the seller actually takes delivery, drives it for a bit, but they can’t get approved for a lease/loan so they give it back.

vehicle was sold and driven off the lot, the funding never happened due to bad credit or another circumstance and the car is brought back with miles.

Are unwinded car actually registered? Are they still considered new or now used?
