I’m currently in the market for an Audi SQ5 or a similar vehicle. I’m trying to see if it’s possible to get one at $550/mo including sales tax (9.5%) with only $2500 total drive off fees.
I would like to do a 36 month term with 10k miles per year.
I’ve gotten a quote for one that has an MSRP of $62,735 but the dealer is requiring $6,000 total drive off to make a $550/mo payment possible.
Am I trying to get something that is impossible? Should I be looking at different cars?
There’s been some ‘acceptable’ deals on these posted recently. Have a quick search to see what others are getting but i think you’re probably looking more in the $600-650 range for anything approaching a decent price.
As others said, 2500 out of pocket isn’t going make your payments 550. Start with less optioned ones, and apply MSDs if you can. Without some sort of miracle I don’t think you’ll hit your goals though.
I got a quote (first pass) on a $59.xk MSRP SQ5 in SoCal today. With MSD maxed, I’m at $620 / month $620 down and I don’t think there’s a ton more to be had.
So that’s $6.5k out of pocket in the form of MSD and $620 for first month. Pay the Acq and license upfront and you’re under $575 pretty easy.
Sq5 has been leasing since last year. The RV is high, incentives are available, audi allows msd and dealers are willing to discount them significantly.

This is for 36/10 term. How can I find out what the money factor is from the rent charge listed above? I think if I add MSDs, I can bring down the cap cost quite a bit.
