2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

So i got the following quote today on a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited this is in Indiana.

MSRP: 33,075
Sales Price: 29,681
Residual 70%
MF: .00235

36m/12k payment would be $349.

Thoughts? Also, since my understanding is all Jeep leases are through their own leasing company, is that MF correct, or is it marked up? I’m eligible for an employee discount so i can shop the deal if it is negotiable and they won’t move on it.

Chrysler Capital program for 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Sport, 36/10K
Residual: 70%
MF: .00183
No lease cash that I’m aware of. No acquisition fee, though.

The residual is the highest I’ve seen for a 36-month lease. I wonder if Chrysler Capital offers a single-pay lease to lower the MF. If they do, it might be worth considering in this case.

thanks Michael. I about fell over when i saw the residual. I’ll go back to them on the money factor. Much appreciated!!!

Curious if you ended up getting this kind of pricing for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?

I am starting to help my daughter shop for one and she is thinking of leasing one.

No, I ended up with a Cherokee Latitude. Different type of vehicle than the unlimited by met my needs better.

As to the pricing, I get Chrysler employee discount, however I found dealers would sell at levels below that. However, they then would make it up by jacking up the mf number. So you had to do your homework. Truecar came in handy as well as cars.com and this forum.

So ended up buying a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Freedom package loaded which retailed for $38,615 yesterday.

MSRP 38,615
Discount $4,564
Sale Price $34,051

Residual: 78%
Money Factor .0025

Paid $1729 down along with paying sales tax, processing and tags up front.

$240 per month for 36 month lease with 12k miles.

Leasehackr.com saved me so much money. I shopped this same jeep between 12 dealers and the highest lease rate was $425. That is a $6,660.00 price difference.

I wonder how many people don’t know any better and get scammed into paying these crazy prices!

@sscott i’m curious, did you have them run the numbers on a 24 mo lease as well?

Does the money factor given above, come out to 6%? If so, that seems really high. But the Wrangler does have a great residual (buying a used one almost doesn’t make any sense because of that.) My kids (especially the 16 year old) would love this Jeep.

Awesome! Was this through Chrysler Capital or Ally?

This was through Ally and yes it is higher rate but much higher residual. Chrysler would have been .00193 (4.63%) but residual was only 71%. Ran numbers both ways and saved $12-14 per month so was worth it over the life of the lease.

Yes I did look at 24 month but found 36 month to be the best for me.

Great to know.

For those who are curious, here are the current numbers for 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Sport/Willy’s Wheeler/Freedom:

Chrysler Capital:
24/10K: 79% residual, .00193 MF
36/10K: 72% residual, .00193 MF
$0 acquisition fee

Ally:
36/10K: 79% residual, .00250 MF
$595 acquisition fee

Unfortunately, dealer discounts here in Southern California are running from $1,000 to $2,000 off MSRP, rather than the $4,500 you got.

Any insight one the single pay options? How much would this reduce the MF? Are the residuals the same on a saraha model? Thanks!

One-pay lease is definitely available, as I’ve seen ads for them. Unfortunately, I don’t know what the MF discount is for either Chrysler Capital or Ally. Best to check with the dealer; let us know if you do!

The residuals are lower on Wrangler Unlimited Sahara than Sport/Willy’s/Freedom:

Chrysler Capital:
24/10K: 72%, .00193 MF
36/10K: 64%, .00193 MF
$0 acquisition fee

Ally:
36/10K: 71%, .00250 MF
$595 acquisition fee

Hi, can someone please provide me with MF and Residual for a Wrangler Unlimited Backcountry 24m/10-12k, 36m/10-12k in NY. Much appreciated!

2016 Wrangler Unlimited 4WD Backcountry

Chrysler Capital:
24/10K: 72% residual, .00193 MF
$0 acquisition fee

Ally:
36/10K: 71% residual, 6.01% APR
$595 acquisition fee

Subtract 1% residual for 12K/year.

How about a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon?

24/36 for 10/12

Thanks!
JP

I’ll post May numbers once they’re out. The current program ended today.

Awesome thanks Michael look forward to seeing them!

these residuals are national correct?
